Alakeisha Patterson, LCPC

Psychotherapist
MD
My journey to becoming a therapist truly began after having my child. Motherhood gave me a new perspective on life, love, and resilience, and it deepened my passion for supporting others through their own challenges. It taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and honest connection—values I now carry into my work with every client. I know how hard it can be to balance caring for yourself while caring for others, and that’s why I strive to create a safe, understanding space where you don’t have to do it all alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring a grounded, no-nonsense approach to sessions—honest and direct, without sugarcoating the truth. I believe in telling it like it is, while still creating a space that feels safe, respectful, and deeply supportive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, my focus will be on getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable and supported. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to get out of our work together. It’s also a chance for us to start building a trusting relationship and see how we can best work as a team.
