Psychotherapist

You're doing your best to hold it all together but inside, you're struggling. Maybe you're navigating the intense changes of pregnancy or postpartum, feeling anxious, disconnected, or overwhelmed. Or perhaps you're caught in a painful cycle with food and body image, feeling out of control or ashamed. When you're dealing with an eating disorder or perinatal mental health challenges (or both), it's easy to feel isolated, even invisible. You might be silently battling perfectionism, self-doubt, or shame while the world expects you to be “just fine.” I'm here to help people heal their relationship with food, body, and self. I hold a Master's in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's from the University of Mary Washington, which inform my compassionate, holistic approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring together training in perinatal mental health, eating disorder recovery, EMDR, and expressive arts therapy to create a supportive, trauma-informed space for healing. Whether you’re adjusting to motherhood, healing from trauma managing disordered eating, or navigating both, I’ll meet you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. As a mother & eating disorder survivor, I understand the immense challenges surrounding the journey to healing and wholeness. Combining this experience with my specialized training, we work together to develop an understanding of who you are, your values, your goals, and your unique situation to build the fulfilling, balanced life you want.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I strive to make therapy a warm, inviting, and comfortable space for you. As a trauma specialist, I integrate a EMDR and other trauma informed approaches like art therapy into all of my therapeutic work. I offer a grounded, responsive treatment philosophy that supports your work toward recovery and wholeness.

More information on payments and coverage

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a superbill—a detailed receipt of our sessions—that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Before starting services, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider to clarify your plan’s out-of-network benefits. Understanding your coverage upfront can help you make informed decisions about your care. I’m happy to help guide you if you need assistance with this process! I have partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits. Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, but they guarantee claims are successfully submitted or a full refund of their fees. You can check your eligibility for OON reimbursement with Mentaya directly.
