*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* To be the best version of yourself, you have to take a chance and step out of your comfort zone. You have completed the first step, so congratulations on starting your journey to becoming the best version of YOU. Therapy is a wonderful journey when you want to learn and grow through what you believe is holding you back. Everyone's life experiences are unique and help shape the person you are. I will be here to help you navigate this journey by creating a safe space for you to be unapologetically your authentic self and inspire change through self-awareness and self-exploration. Growing up as a young Black adolescent experiencing different obstacles and feeling misunderstood, I wanted to help create a space where adolescents and BIPOC individuals could be heard and understood. Mental health isn't something that is normalized in the Black community, and I want to be part of changing that stigma to foster more diversity and inclusion within this field. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support my clients effectively. I will help you invest in yourself, grow confidence, and discover the person you dream of being. My goal is to help each of my patients become the strongest version of themselves while supporting them through every victory and setback. As endorsed by Sneha Raja on Psychology Today: "Alaysia is a strong and supportive clinician and advocate of mental health for all. She is especially skilled with the unique challenge of working with adolescents to help them manage depression, anxiety, build self-confidence, and navigate life transitions." Alaysia Williams has a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. Alaysia Williams is a Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW 119016-1 at Cerebral. Supervised by Jessica Gulmi, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW 081335.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My ideal clients are adolescents, adults, families, and groups that are having difficulty managing complex emotions within their life. I work with people from all backgrounds, but I want to focus my practice on serving People of Color as I feel there is a lack of mental health spaces where they can feel seen and heard.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy is a wonderful journey when you want to learn and grow through what you believe is holding you back. I will be here to help you navigate through this journey. Together, we will create a safe space for you to be unapologetically your authentic self and inspire change through self-awareness and self-exploration. I rely on strength-based methods to help you feel empowered as you grow in therapy. I want you to feel seen, understood, and learn how to find and express your true self. As I work with you, I want to help you share your strength with those around you–creating a ripple effect of positive energy. I know what it’s like to live as a person of color and feel like we have to work harder than others just to break even. I want to help you find the power within to break through these barriers.
