Albana Antone, LPC

Psychotherapist
ID
I provide online therapy throughout Idaho for adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and overwhelming stress. I specialize in trauma-focused care and am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an approach designed to help reduce the distress associated with difficult or traumatic experiences. As a clinician with lived experience, I also have a unique understanding of the challenges faced by veterans, military families, law enforcement, and first responders. I help clients understand patterns shaped by trauma, stress, and difficult environments. Alongside ART, I use CBT, trauma‑informed care, Prolonged Exposure, person‑centered therapy, and strength‑based approaches. I also have training in Early Serious Mental Illness (OnTrackNY), supporting clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin, you’re not alone. Reaching out can feel difficult, especially when life has been heavy for a long time. I offer a calm, steady space to sort through what’s weighing on you and move at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. I offer counseling to Albanian-speaking individuals, as well.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I incorporate evidence-based practices including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness techniques. Sessions are tailored to each individual's needs and may focus on developing coping skills, processing difficult experiences, improving emotional well-being, and working toward specific personal goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to counseling is collaborative, goal-oriented, and tailored to your unique needs and strengths. During our first sessions, we'll explore what brings you to therapy, identify your goals, and discuss what has and has not worked for you in the past. Together, we'll create a plan that feels meaningful and manageable. I utilize a solution-focused, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach that emphasizes resilience, personal growth, and practical strategies for change. Depending on your goals, I may integrate evidence-based practices from Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques to help you develop insight, build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create lasting positive change. Sessions are designed to be a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can openly discuss challenges, identify solutions, and develop tools to navigate life's transitions, stressors, and emotional concerns. My goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and equipped to move forward with greater confidence and well-being.

More information on payments and coverage

I accept a variety of commercial insurance plans and continue to expand my network participation. Coverage, copays, deductibles, and coinsurance vary by plan and are determined by your insurance provider. For individuals who prefer not to use insurance, self-pay options are available. Standard counseling sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in length. Superbills can be provided upon request for clients seeking reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. Please contact your insurance carrier directly regarding eligibility for out-of-network reimbursement. My goal is to make the financial aspect of care as transparent and straightforward as possible so you can focus on your treatment and well-being.
