Getting to know Alesia Albury

Hello! I'm Alesia, a licensed mental health counselor and national certified counselor who works with individuals, couples, and families. I've noticed that many people suffer in silence. If you're one of them, I want to advocate for you by teaching you how to regulate your emotions, create a more positive mental space, and increase your self-esteem in the process.

What should a new client know about working with you?

For starters, I don't tell clients what they want to hear, but what they need to hear. It's all done with peace, love and accountability. Many former clients find it refreshing to be in a safe space where they are accepted as themselves, where they are right now. I listen and reflect back on what I'm hearing, with many questions in between.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I'm an eclectic therapist: I tailor sessions to what my client(s) need. Examples include CBT, DBT, solution-focused, mindfulness, stress management and Gottman. I feel at home challenging and replacing negative thoughts, providing psycho-education on new material and its value to you, and showing clients their strengths that have been overlooked.
