Accepting new clients-Hi, my name is Ally, and it is an honor to meet you. I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner with 10 years of experience in mental health. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Counseling, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Point Loma Nazarene University. I work with adults, couples, and families. My therapeutic approaches include choice theory/reality therapy and narrative therapy. I encourage my clients to live with better intention and understanding by sharing their life experiences and bringing attention to our basic human needs to feel secure, lovable, free, empowered, and fun!

What should a new client know about working with you?

When our needs go unmet, we make choices-helpful or hurtful to ourselves and our loved ones-in an attempt to feel fulfilled. In my practice, we identify the unmet needs that are causing our anxiety/depression/stress, we learn mindful practices to cope, and then we meet the need and make better, more-informed choices for our lives and relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My hope is that you will find healing by exploring your story, creating a healthier narrative, and forgiving yourself. I am simply here to truly hear you, empower you, and help you leave my office better equipped to understand and mindfully meet your needs than when you walked in.
