What should a new client know about working with you?

During sessions, you can expect to improve self-awareness to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and patterns for a better understanding of your emotions, triggers, and reactions. You will learn coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. These strategies can include relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, and cognitive behavioral techniques. You will also learn emotional regulation techniques to manage your emotions in healthier ways, reducing impulsive reactions and gaining greater control over your emotional responses.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our sessions together, my goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing what’s on your mind. A typical session usually begins with an intake about how you’ve been doing since our last meeting—what’s been going well, and any challenges you’ve noticed. From there, we’ll focus on the concerns you’d like to address that day. Sometimes that might look like talking through a stressful situation, practicing coping strategies, or exploring patterns of thoughts and behaviors that may be affecting your well-being. Toward the end of the session, I’ll help summarize what we discussed, highlight key insights, and collaborate with you on small, realistic steps you can practice between sessions. Each session is flexible and tailored to your needs, so we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
