Getting to know Alexa Castaneda
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Clinical Supervisor, and Board Certified NCC in Florida. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Albizu University. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey that involves empathically listening without judgment. I use a variety of methods with a personally tailored approach for each client and situation. As a therapist, I am empathetic, supportive, and straightforward. I consider myself an open-minded therapist who uses learned skills, experience, and a sense of humor to offer a logical and realistic approach to counseling. In addition to therapy, I offer evaluations and documentation for Emotional Support Animals (ESA) when clinically appropriate. ESA letters can help individuals with mental health challenges access the support they need from their animal companions. These letters are issued after a thorough assessment to ensure they meet ethical and legal standards. If you're considering an ESA, feel free to discuss this during your session.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
