He welcomes you into a calming, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. When appropriate, he'll add some humor to your sessions. He will support you and work together with you as a team, building upon your strengths so you can confidently face life's obstacles. Depression, addiction, and anxiety are some of the issues Alexander's clients can overcome with his help. Motivational interviewing, using open-ended questions and active listening, are the primary techniques he employs to help clients feel heard and understood. Modalities he uses include DBT, CBT, and solution-focused therapy. Alexander holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and has experience working in various settings, including correctional facilities, community mental health, residential treatment for adolescents, and substance abuse inpatient care for men. He has also provided case management for adults with disabilities.
