Psychotherapist
428 E Hudson St, Long Beach, NY
Life can present challenges and difficulties as we work through a variety of transitions, decisions, relationships, and traumas. Anxiety and depression are more prevalent now than ever. Whether it is a pattern of difficult relationships, self-doubt and low self-esteem, self-medicating, or dissatisfaction with life circumstances, change and healing are possible. I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience, and I work with each client to find a style that works best for them. I do more than just listen-I make observations, offer feedback, and engage actively in sessions. I focus on a person-centered, strengths-based approach, utilizing techniques from a variety of evidence-based modalities. I also incorporate a psychodynamic approach that helps clients find the root and deeper understanding of their patterns and behaviors. My goal is to create an environment of support, validation, and a safe place to make realizations. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space for self-exploration and healing. By utilizing positive acceptance, my goal is to help clients add to their social and emotional knowledge so they can navigate difficulties in ways that foster self-esteem, well-being, and growth. Taking the first step is not always easy, but we can take this journey together. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Sacred Heart University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support clients effectively on their path to healing.
