She completed her clinical training at NSLIJ Glen Cove Hospital's Women and Children's Program and the Town of Babylon's Youth Institute. Alexandra also completed her post-graduate training for substance use disorders in various OASAS clinics and is a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). She is currently an adjunct professor at Hofstra University and previously taught at Nassau Community College. Alexandra specializes in treating co-occurring disorders in children, adolescents, and adults with the following: Anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, behavioral issues, codependency, learning disabilities, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance use disorders, and trauma. She provides individual therapy, couples/family therapy, and facilitates groups. Alexandra utilizes a person-centered, eclectic approach of psychotherapy, focusing on using evidenced-based treatment modalities (i.e., CBT, DBT, and MI) to empower children, adolescents, and adults to begin the healing process.
