During an intake, I will ask about what led you to seek therapy and conduct an assessment to understand your goals. As we build rapport working together, we will explore more of your life story to see how it connects to the present day. I am a strong believer that most people repeat the same patterns over and over in their lives, with details such as the characters, settings, and storyline changing while deep-rooted emotional needs remain unresolved. I often explore themes that arise in our conversations and encourage the insights we can collaboratively glean from this. I approach the therapeutic alliance with curiosity, humor, and openness. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College and earned my Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
