Alexandra Rodriguez, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
Greetings! I’m Ally, an LCSW with a passion for providing understanding and support. Even before my formal education, I was often the go-to advice person for friends—an inclination which eventually led me to this profession. In 2018, I received my BA in Psychology from Siena College, and in 2019, I completed my MS in Social Work at The College of Saint Rose with a perfect 4.0 GPA. My academic achievements were recognized with the “Outstanding Student in Social Work” award. My six years of experience as a mental health therapist in a school setting, working primarily with middle schoolers, has allowed me to help address a variety of challenges—from trauma and anxiety to learning difficulties and identity exploration. Although my main focus is children and adolescents, I have a commitment to helping adults as well, particularly parents and caregivers dealing with their children’s emotional and behavioral issues. My approach employs techniques such as CBT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. My style is centered on warmth, collaboration, and underlining the client’s strengths. I’m more than just a passive observer—I actively engage with compassion, curiosity, and a strong belief in your capacity for growth. Beyond my therapy work, I’m a mom to a toddler and three cats. I have a love for outdoor activities, event planning, charcuterie, and trips to the farmers market. If you need a therapist who will partner with you in your journey through life’s challenges, I am here and ready to help.
