Psychotherapist
NY
Hi, I’m Ally, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who’s always had a passion for helping others feel supported and understood. Long before becoming a therapist, I was the friend people turned to for advice. That natural desire to help led me to this work. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Siena College in 2018 and completed my Master of Science in Social Work at The College of Saint Rose in 2019, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and receiving the Outstanding Student in Social Work Award. For the past six years, I’ve worked as a school-based mental health therapist, primarily with middle schoolers navigating a wide range of challenges—trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning difficulties, suicidal ideation, identity exploration, and the impact of parental substance use or incarceration. I’m experienced in building quick, meaningful rapport and take pride in creating a safe, supportive space where clients of all ages feel seen and heard. While I specialize in working with children and adolescents, I also enjoy working with adults—especially parents and caregivers whose children are facing emotional or behavioral struggles. I use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques to support each client’s unique goals and needs. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I don’t just take notes—I show up with compassion, curiosity, and a belief in your capacity for growth. Whether you’re a teen feeling overwhelmed or an adult holding it all together for others, you don’t have to do it alone. Outside of therapy sessions, I’m a mom to a busy toddler and three cats. I love being outdoors, planning events, and will never say no to a charcuterie board or a trip to the farmers market. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you (or your child) with warmth, honesty, and real partnership—let’s connect. I’d be honored to support you.
