I’m Alexandria, but please feel free to call me Lexi. I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress, with a particular focus on supporting military members and their families. I believe that healing starts in a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to make lasting changes. A little about me: I’ve been working in the mental health field for nine years, starting with a Bachelor's in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, followed by a Master’s in Professional Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Military Resiliency from Liberty University. I’m currently pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, I understand the unique challenges that come with anxiety and ADHD. I’m licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) in California, as well as an MFT in Virginia and a Professional Counselor in Delaware.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together, my primary goal is to foster a relationship built on trust, understanding, and collaboration. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, working toward greater self-awareness, emotional growth, and positive change. With formal training in evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Polyvagal Theory, I draw on a blend of methods to best support your unique journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and self-discovery. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, creating a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. In our sessions, I prioritize active listening and reflection, ensuring that you feel truly heard and understood. Rather than directing the conversation, I follow your lead, allowing you to navigate your experiences at your own pace. My role is to support and encourage you, helping you uncover your own strengths and insights. I strive to foster a warm and accepting environment where you can express yourself freely. By offering a compassionate and non-judgmental presence, I aim to empower you to gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward personal growth. I’m truly excited to collaborate with you and support you in your journey toward becoming the best version of yourself!
