I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who specializes in supporting children, teens, and young adults through emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. With a Master's Degree in School Counseling, I have an extensive background working with children and families in school and outpatient settings. My approach My work combines Person-Centered theory with CBT, REBT, and Solution-Focused approaches to help clients understand their feelings and build real-world coping tools. I come across as genuine, warm, and often a bit humorous to help young clients feel at ease, but I’m also honest and direct when guiding them and their families. My focus I help clients make sense of their lives, including past experiences, everyday choices, and things they couldn't control. Together, we'll build understanding, coping skills, and practical tools to make daily life feel a little steadier and more manageable. My communication style My communication style is warm, relaxed, and empathetic. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable and understood, while also gently challenging you to notice patterns, perspectives, or possibilities you might not have seen before. My journey to mental healthcare I knew I wanted to be a counselor when a School Counselor helped me, as a child, realize that I was trying to fit in and losing who I truly was. That moment stayed with me. I have 5 years of experience counseling in schools, supporting students through a wide range of mental health concerns, and helping them grow through their experiences. My goals for you I help clients reach their goals through collaborations, a strong therapeutic relationship, and regular check-ins on goals. We work as a team to track progress, adjust goals as needed, and build trust. I believe meaningful change happens best when you feel supported and understood. My first session with you Our first session is all about connection.
