Getting to know Alexis Tatel

I became a therapist to help individuals live their best lives possible. If you are feeling hopeless, overwhelmed, have issues in your relationships, struggle with parenting, life transitions, or just need support...feel free to reach out to me. My goal is to be a listener and a participant in YOUR journey. I will help you with whatever problems you are working through, or goals you are seeking to achieve.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, mindfulness, DBT, and cognitive behavioral techniques. I am a life-long learner, always trying to expand what I know for my clients.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to provide a welcoming space for you. I will meet you wherever you are in your personal journey. I believe we do not have to be alone in our suffering. Therapy offers you a sounding board and as you become more comfortable, I hope it is a space for you to be authentically you. I welcome you to my practice with an open mind and heart.
