Getting to know Alexys Guerra
Hi there! I'm Alexys.
I am a licensed mental health counselor with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. My passion has always been to help others achieve a better quality of life, and I now consider it a privilege and blessing to make it my life's work.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults presenting with anxiety, mild TBI/neurocognitive disorder, depression, relationship issues, grief/loss, life transitions, or simply adjusting to the ebbs and flows of life.
I utilize a variety of interventions tailored to each individual's needs and personal goals, providing a safe space where healing from the inside out can take place.
We all deserve to be heard and seen. I am happy to meet you exactly where you're at and be that person for you.
What should a new client know about working with you?
During the first session, the aim is to get to know the client and context around their reason for seeking therapy. My clients can expect to feel valued and worthy of receiving the help they are. I work to empower individuals to take hold of difficult emotions and shift unhelpful thought patterns. I provide tools/ techniques, as well as clinical insight and perspective in hopes of welcoming confidence to navigate through issues that may surface. My clients should expect to feel like they could move forward beyond therapy having achieved a greater overall sense of balance in their lives.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
