Getting to know Alexza Gutierrez

Change, while challenging, provides opportunities for emotional growth. While we cannot choose what happens to us, we do choose how we respond to our circumstances and restore balance. Therapy is a collaborative journey. Sometimes individuals just need to talk to someone who will listen to their experiences and provide support and guidance, while at other times a more directive skill-building approach is needed to address distress. In my clinical practice, I integrate various theoretical frameworks-psychodynamic, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and family systems-to meet my clients where they are. I hold a Master's in Social Work from New York University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support diverse client needs. My goal is to create the space to build the therapeutic relationship necessary for your journey toward personal growth.
