Hello, and welcome! My name is Alfred, and I am so glad you are here. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor within the state of Florida. I bring multiple years of experience in the mental health field, working in diverse settings with individuals facing a wide range of challenges. I began my career serving with the Florida Department of Corrections, where I worked for four years providing counseling and support to individuals navigating complex personal, emotional, and behavioral issues. This experience gave me a strong foundation in working with people from all walks of life and reinforced my belief in the power of growth and change. In addition, I have extensive experience in substance abuse treatment, inpatient facilities, and outpatient programs. My work has included helping individuals manage addiction, mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, as well as supporting clients through life transitions and personal struggles. I use an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused strategies, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.
