Getting to know Alice-Diane Scharf

As a therapist and a person, most of my clients, friends, and people find me to be warm, intuitive, authentic and caring. I have been working in the fields of mental health and also rehabilitation counseling for altogether, 36 years. My most recent trainings and trauma, focus therapy, somatic experience therapy, and working with a neurodivergent, excite me, and I'm thankful to still be a therapist. I feel like bringing a variety of experience due to these trainings, but also trainings and ACT, DBT, CBT and internal family systems theory. I like working with individuals of any age and enjoy working with them all. It seems that most of my clients are either neurodivergent, going through transitions, searching for their authentic identity or one help healing from trauma, depression, and anxiety. I am licensed in the state of Florida, so far, as a mental health counselor, and I'm certified as a national certified counselor. I'm planning on becoming licensed in in other states, as well. I'm planning on pursuing certifications as a quantum healing, hypnosis therapist, and also renewing my certification as a trauma informed psychotherapist. Other interests that I'm considering or pursuing education and possibly certifications in nutrition and exercise. I have a variety of interest, including music, as I love playing classical guitar, clarinet some piano and also singing. I've been attending acting classes as I'm interested in pursuing some form of the thespian arts. I'm also a mom of two young adult daughters and together we enjoy playing tennis, going on hikes and cooking together. Lastly, I am a newly Read and so look forward to spending time with my husband whom I've known since first grade and also our dog, Merck.
