You should feel proud that you have made it to this point, looking for a therapist and exploring the steps to feeling empowered and content. I thank you for considering me to be a part of your self-exploration, and I would be delighted to work with you. My approach I use a mixed methodology including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person Centered therapy. I work to ensure that all sessions and interventions are affirming and applicable to each individual's needs. My focus Neurodiverse populations are my forte, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, and individuals struggling with connections. I have worked with clients of a wide range of genders, cognitive abilities, nationalities, and religions. Adults of all kinds navigating struggles with creating balance, self-esteem, and managing life are a focus as well. I work to stay up to date on effective treatment models and increase my understanding of how to be an efficient and helpful therapist. My communication style My goal is to create a judgment-free environment. I want our sessions to be a safe space where you feel empowered to share freely. I use direct communication and work to express myself clearly, and ensure I understand what my clients are expressing. I conduct check-ins to facilitate a clear understanding of the strategies and tools we discuss/learn during our time together. I am open to learning! If there is a way that you learn best or prefer to use for communication, I'm happy to adapt. I have enjoyed using visual cues, verbal, and written communication. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist out of a deep desire to help others, a love of finding the deeper meaning, and a curiosity about the human condition. I have been fortunate to work in a variety of settings, from elementary/middle/high schools to psychiatric hospitals and outpatient clinics.
