Getting to know Alicia Zamora

I believe that everyone has the tools they need to implement the changes they want. As a therapist, it is my job to help you access these tools by providing new, broader perspectives and understanding how contexts and viewpoints may be limiting you. I practice under the theory that relationships work in systemic ways, meaning when one aspect of a relationship is not functioning as it should, another aspect will suffer. Through collaborative discussion, I will challenge you to broaden your perspective in relationships, allowing you to access your internal tools to implement the necessary changes. Sometimes life is just funny. During our sessions, we will laugh, cry, and we may even disagree—all in an effort to reach our goals and elevate symptoms. If you are willing to do the work together, we can help you create change. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University, which informs my approach and commitment to supporting you through this process.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My mission during our first session and everyone following is to promote growth through the discovery of your internal tools, to be utilized to strengthen relationships including your relationship with yourself.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
