Getting to know Alisa Truong
I am qualified as a Therapist/Mental Health Provider in North Carolina under my LCMHC-A license #A19991 after obtaining my MA from The Chicago School in 12/01/2023. As part of my program to practice, I had to complete a practicum placement at Counseling Professionals PLLC from 01/09/2023 to 04/30/2023. I completed my internship at Counseling Professionals PLLC where I worked gaining hours toward licensure between the dates of 05/08/2023 and 12/11/2023. I then had to pass the National Counseling Exam to be able to obtain my license to be a mental health provider, which I passed that exam on 11/20/2023. Below is my work history to present with my employment at Counseling Professionals PLLC starting in 01/01/2023 until present in my role as a mental health provider meeting the needs of the community. The population I serve includes ages from 18 to 99 who identify as Women, Men, Non-binary, LGBTQIA+and below are the different dynamics, approaches, conditions, and situations I work with in counseling. I provide counseling services under the supervision of Christopher Leach MS LCMHCS License #S9420 who works at Counseling Professionals PLLC. As part of Counseling Professionals PLLC's drive for oversite and improvement institution, I receive consultation and emergency consultation from the Counseling Professionals PLLC Supervision Committee which can be contacted within 24 hours of notice. Their contact information will be provided later in this document. My license is set to be renewed on 06/30/2025. I work with Counseling Professionals PLLC to file for renewal months in advance to try to maintain continuity of care. If there is ever an issue in my licensure, I will work with you to find resources while the issue is being address.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Accepting New Clients! - As a first generation Asian American woman, I know firsthand how hard navigating life can be. What do I do here? Where do I fit in? What’s my identity? These are questions you may be asking yourself. I’m here to listen and show you that I get it. I understand how frustrating it is to not have it all figured out. I will be there to let you know that it'll be okay. From listening to your story, to meeting you where you're at, I'll support you in getting through itMy specialties include working with individuals that have mood and personality disorders. Young adults dealing with life transitions. Individuals wanting to unpack and process trauma. I work well with people that have strong ambition and drive to improve their life circumstances.

5. Billing submits a claim for this session to insurance

7. Insurance accepts or denies the claim
8. We collect payment from insurance then from you (if there is a co - pay or deductible)
9. Repeat steps 4-8 for each future session
What is not Covered by Insurance:
· No-Show and late cancelations are not covered by insurance
· Consistency helps therapy outcomes
· No shows are not always charged, but regular no-shows may result in termination or transfer of care as it undermines treatment outcomes and therapist scheduling and income.
