Psychotherapist
2005 Ames Blvd, Ste B, Marrero, LA
I am an LPC in the states of Louisiana and Texas. I use unconventional practices and techniques to promote unimaginable impact in my clients' lives. My approach When providing care, I like to use a person-centered approach. As a clinician, I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship that enables all of my clients to feel free to provide feedback, which would then allow them to experience greater results. I use empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness in all of my sessions. My focus I love to help people. People from all backgrounds and areas of life. I love working with single mothers providing motivation to men who need a listening ear without judgment. I love working with seniors who are reminiscing about their life experiences with regret, with young adults who are trying to navigate life's transitions to adulthood. My communication style I have a direct communication style. I love to talk to my clients and be clear about my questions and even my challenges. I look at challenging a client as an opportunity to expand their way of thinking regarding a particular subject, idea, or person. I use personal disclosure only when appropriate and necessary for the therapeutic process to be strengthened. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a provider was a very interesting one, as I started when I was an older adult. I decided to go back to school when I was 33 years old, and I was committed to making a change in my life, therefore helping other people to make a change in their lives. I use my journey to promote resilience and motivate others to never give up on their dreams. My goals for you I love to use solution-focused brief therapy to help my clients reach their goals because, weekly or as often as they have a session, the following week they’ll be able to see some type of results. We create goals in our first few sessions to allow the client to take full responsibility for achieving their goals.
