What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with me, you can expect a welcoming, calm, and compassionate environment where you will feel comfortable, accepted, and safe to explore the challenges you're facing. I prioritize creating a space where you can openly discuss your concerns and experiences, confident that your feelings and perspectives are valued. I respect and honor all cultural backgrounds, whether they stem from different countries or unique family traditions, and I recognize how culture shapes our perspectives and decisions. While I primarily work with First Responders, my experience spans a range of issues, including compounded stressors, relationship difficulties, and pre-marital counseling. My approach is centered around empowering you to build and enhance your coping skills. I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities to tailor my approach to your unique needs, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), to help you identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support you in managing emotions and improving interpersonal relationships, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to address and process past traumas and distressing memories. I encourage my clients to adopt a holistic approach to their mental well-being, considering various aspects of their lives. I provide resources and regular check-ins to support you in areas such as medical compliance, physical health, sleep, finances, social support, spiritual beliefs, and relationships. By addressing these interconnected areas, we work together to create a comprehensive plan for your overall wellness and personal growth. My commitment is to guide you through your journey with empathy and respect, ensuring that you feel supported as you work towards healing and personal growth. Whether you’re seeking help with stress, relationships, or other life challenges, I’m here to help you find the strategies and support you need to thrive.
