Hi there, I'm Alison! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing since 2012, with experience working with clients across the lifespan. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, with a particular focus on trauma, family systems, families involved with corrections, and supporting veterans. My focus I work primarily with adults navigating relational challenges, life transitions, aging, and coping with stress or difficult experiences. I support clients in gaining insight, building on their strengths, and developing practical strategies to create greater balance, connection, and meaning in their lives. My approach My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling, so I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to find what works best. My communication style My communication style is warm, approachable, and nonjudgmental, while also being honest and direct. I value creating a comfortable space where clients can be themselves, ask questions, and feel heard. I also believe appropriate humor can help build connection and make therapy feel more natural and human. My journey to mental healthcare Becoming a single teen mom at 18 taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of support. Social work came naturally to me, and I found my passion in helping others navigate challenges and grow. I draw from both personal and professional experience to connect with and support my clients. My goals for you I help clients reach their goals by first understanding what matters most to them and where they feel stuck. Together, we identify realistic, meaningful steps forward while building on existing strengths.
