Getting to know Alison George

I am a warm, collaborative Licensed Clinical Social Worker with international training and experience across private practice, hospitals, schools, and court settings. I specialize in working with people across the lifespan navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, and ADHD. As someone who personally understands ADHD, I bring both clinical expertise and lived insight to this work. I understand the overwhelm, the racing mind, the emotional intensity, and the frustration of feeling misunderstood as well as how this can impact our relationships. Therapy with me is never one-size-fits-all - especially for neurodivergent clients. I tailor our work to how your brain functions, integrating structure, creativity, and practical strategies that actually stick. My approach is individualized and client-led. Together, we unpack the “cloud of worry,” explore attachment patterns and nervous system responses, and identify clear, achievable goals. I integrate ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and attachment-focused work to support meaningful and sustainable change. As the founder of Finding My Better, LLC, I center therapy around one guiding question: What does “better” look like for you? I am also an artist, musician and a mother of two, bringing grounded perspective, creativity, and real-life understanding into the therapy space.

Good Therapist. I would certainly recommend.
Miss Allison is just so amazing I am so glad that I am able to have her working with me to help me through things that I have going on in my life. I wish I could check every box at the top that describes how she cancels because I would be able to check every box because I feel like even though some things are about communication of why I'm in therapy I feel like her just listening very calmly and quietly it's making me learn how to stay calm to talk quieter and do things different she is very challenging in how I approach things to show me different ways that I could try new things and it challenges me to do different things she's very authentic in her words she is definitely very direct on how to set goals and boundaries for yourself and I love that because I have been learning so much from her. I am very thankful. She also just loves her clients that she works with and gives them her time and attention which is very important because my thing through this has been I don't feel heard and I feel when I talk with her she listens to everything that I'm saying and reassures me that she hears me and she also shows me different ways of approaching how I speak and learning new ways to use words for my conversation which is a huge help because I've never learned that so it's something new. I also love the fact that she helps myself esteem because she does tell me that I'm strong and I can do things because my downfall is saying how I can't but I am learning.
I love her! She’s the best
