Getting to know Alissa Brooks

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate life’s challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is collaborative and skill-based, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I help clients develop practical tools to manage anxiety, mood changes, stress, relationship difficulties, and overwhelming emotions. Together, we work on building emotional regulation, improving communication, strengthening coping skills, and increasing self-awareness. I have extensive experience working with teens and young adults who may be struggling with anxiety, emotional reactivity, life transitions, peer or family challenges, and difficulties managing strong feelings that can sometimes come out as anger. I also support adults who are looking to better understand themselves, improve relationships, and feel more balanced in their daily lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Whether you’re facing anxiety, struggling with life transitions, or looking to develop healthier coping strategies, I am here to support you in reaching your goals.
