What should a new client know about working with you?

The decision to seek therapy is a courageous one. I believe it is a message of hope and encouragement you give yourself so you can feel better and less powerless in situations. So often we are left 'alone' with our feelings and thoughts. Therapy is a process and as your partner in this journey, I can help you sort out the events and emotions causing you distress, the feeling of being 'dysregulated', and help you work toward being better able to manage your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Let's work together to help you find new ways to approach challenging situations and restore your sense of well-being. In our conversations, we can find new ways of "knowing", help you to understand yourself even more, and improve your ability to manage difficult situations and feelings.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session is one hour. This gives us the time to get to know one another through a structured interview process. Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes.
