Getting to know Aliya Nichols
I love incorporating psychoeducation and am experienced in using brain-body-based therapies and modalities. With a Master's in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University, I focus on educating clients about the brain's role in trauma recovery and dysregulated nervous systems. How can I teach the brain basics for healing? How can I integrate brain change approaches and teach new skills for overcoming anxiety and depression? I like to use harmonic brain healing for disturbing thoughts, teach about the vagus nerve for panic attacks, and provide cognitive tools for maintaining balance. I also teach meditations to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression and assist in movement-based techniques for stored trauma. I hope to see you soon!
