Hi there, I'm Aliyah! Hi! I'm Aliyah Simcoff, LCSW. I earned my Master's in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. While each therapeutic relationship is unique to my clients, I generally approach my practice with compassion, presence, and humility. You are the expert in your own experience. My approach I draw from a range of treatment modalities and theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Grief Counseling, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Eco-Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, LEAP, Art Therapy, Feminist Theory, Systems Theory, and Psychodynamic Theory. I am also constantly educating myself with new approaches. My focus I have specialized in working with clients with severe mental illness (e.g., Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Severe Depression, Personality Disorders, Anxiety) as well as mild to moderate mental illness. I have also worked with clients around substance use, grief, life transitions, disordered eating, incarceration cycles, and trauma processing.
