Getting to know Allison Garner
As your therapist, it is an honor and a privilege to assist my clients with the challenges that life throws our way. I utilize a collaborative approach to tailor treatment individually so that you can evolve in a way that is authentic to your personal path. Holding a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, I am committed to providing care that supports your unique journey. As a mental health professional, my goal is to allow my clients to receive the healing they need, at the pace that will help them grow. I applaud you for taking the leap towards improving your mental health and look forward to assisting you on that journey.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My therapeutic specializations include phase-of-life transitions (ie: divorce, changing professions, graduating college, loss of a loved one) and mood disorders (anxiety and depression). I have clinical specialization in addiction counseling, complex PTSD, and ASD. It is my goal to create an inclusive, non-judgmental environment that allows you to explore the inner workings of your consciousness & empower you to make positive change. I utilize psychodynamic, behavioral, and existential approaches in my therapeutic process.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first step towards bettering our mental health is taking initiative. Remember that what you are doing is a brave beginning towards a brighter future. Whatever life circumstances has brought you on this path, remember that you truly are taking the first stride towards healing.

Alli is the very best therapist I have ever had. She impressively remembers everything I share with her and brings up connection points to help me understand patterns in my life. She brings a true sense of warmth, humor, and companionship to all sessions, and I can tell that since becoming her patient I have continued true momentum toward positive changes and habits. After every session, I feel that I had the space to communicate freely without judgment, to explore ideas critically, and to maintain true presence of mind while critically evaluating my life, patterns, and choices. I cannot recommend Alli enough if you’re looking for a supportive environment to navigate challenges in your relationships, your health, your daily habits and traumatic experiences. Alli never makes the session about her. Rather, she expertly guides us through mutual dialogue such that I feel seen, heard, respected, and also more self-aware. 10/10!
