What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, therapy is centered around your individual needs, concerns, and goals. I believe in creating a compassionate, supportive environment where we can address what is affecting you while also identifying your strengths and building practical skills that can support you outside of therapy. My style combines structure with flexibility. We may explore thought patterns, emotions, behaviors, triggers, and past experiences while also focusing on strategies you can begin using in your everyday life. Whether you are working through anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, stress, emotional regulation challenges, or a major life transition, our work will be personalized to what feels most meaningful and helpful for you. I want therapy to help you not only address your current concerns but also develop greater resilience, self-confidence, and the ability to navigate future challenges with more clarity.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with understanding what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are currently experiencing, and what you would like to change or improve. Together, we will identify meaningful goals and develop a treatment approach that fits your individual circumstances. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and address unhelpful thought patterns, build problem-solving skills, practice relaxation strategies, and make behavioral changes. Depending on your needs, I may also incorporate DBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Art Therapy, and other approaches from my clinical background. Sessions are structured around your goals while remaining flexible as your needs change. We will regularly look at what is working, adjust strategies when necessary, and continue building skills that support your progress. My focus is on helping you develop practical tools, greater insight, and confidence that you can carry with you beyond therapy.
