She specializes in working with young adults and adults struggling with issues related to addiction and substance use, past trauma, depression, anxiety, and difficult life transitions. Prior to joining Pure Health Center, Allison worked in a residential treatment setting where she supported individuals with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders. Allison practices within the Harm Reduction model of substance use treatment, meaning she believes that everyone deserves to be met where they are, without judgment, on their journey of recovery. She prioritizes a trauma-informed approach and aims to help clients understand how past experiences and trauma may impact their relationship with substance use and overall mental health. Allison tailors her treatment approach to each individual using a combination of CBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness techniques. Clients choose Allison for her collaborative style and her ability to work alongside them to empower and create positive change in their lives. Allison holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in addictions from The Chicago School. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys cooking, baking, painting, and exploring Chicago with her family and dog.
