Since starting her own practice in 2016, she has worked extensively with children, adolescents, teenagers, parents, families, young adults, and adults. She supports individuals with relationship issues, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and upsetting events, helping them move past stuck points in their lives. Ally focuses her practice on identifying and overcoming challenges that prevent people from living happier, more fulfilled lives. She chose this field because she recognized an unmet need among many families. Often, children and adults need someone to support and guide them in the right direction by helping them help themselves, and Ally has been doing this since 2009. Her passion is to teach individuals the skills to eventually support themselves without the need for a therapist. Ally earned her Bachelor's degree and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She has been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker since 2013. Before entering private practice, she worked in various school settings, focusing on children of all ages dealing with emotional and mental illness. She also worked at Linden Oaks Behavioral Hospital, assisting adults in identifying their struggles and developing coping skills to overcome daily obstacles. Ally truly believes that having a good relationship and feeling comfortable with your therapist is essential to therapy. She provides a relaxed, casual environment where you can express yourself openly without judgment, knowing she will warmly but honestly guide you through your journey of change, adjustment, and growth. Her approach is to help guide and teach individuals to overcome struggles and eventually no longer need the help of a therapist.
