After graduating from Cornell University, Allyson began her career in finance and executive search before discovering her passion for helping people navigate life's challenges. She went on to become a school counselor, earn her degree in Social Work, and work in hospital Oncology, where she supported individuals and families coping with serious illness, grief, loss, and major life transitions.
Today, Allyson works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, parenting, caregiving, career transitions, and grief. She takes a strengths-based, collaborative approach, helping clients build on their resilience while finding greater clarity, purpose, and fulfillment.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Allyson believes everyone has strengths they can draw upon, even during life's most difficult moments. She creates a warm, supportive environment where clients can process change, loss, and life's challenges while building on the resilience they already possess.
Clients can expect a therapist who is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. Allyson works alongside clients to develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward a greater sense of confidence and fulfillment.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Allyson begins by understanding your story, your goals, and what brings you to therapy. Together, you'll identify practical steps forward while exploring the thoughts, experiences, and relationships that shape your life.
Drawing from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, meaning-centered therapy, and attachment theory, Allyson tailors treatment to help clients build resilience, gain clarity, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $350 for 45 minutes
Ongoing session: $350 for 45 minutes
