Hi there, I'm Allyson! I am so proud that you have made this step. I'm glad you are here. There is a reason you are here, and I understand how vulnerable this can be. It is so brave that you have started this process and are ready to begin your healing journey. I hold a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. I am currently accepting new patients at this time.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The type of modalities I like to use: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Family Systems Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I am trained in EMDR therapy and can help explore what your body is signaling in regard to the symptoms you are experiencing. I can offer support through childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trouble having emotions, and many more. My passion is helping people overcome trauma by instilling methods to heal in our sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The goal is always to make sure you feel comfortable and on the same page when we are working together. I will help provide emotional awareness, skills, and information on what can help you move forward on problems you are experiencing. I think it is important for you to feel safe in sessions with me and I hope when you leave you are feeling acknowledged and validated.
