Hi there, I'm Alycia! Life is exciting and beautiful. And, at the same time, it can be painful and chaotic. There are parts of us who want to run away, who want to feel better, or who just want to give up. Many of us have the pieces of our puzzle, but we may be looking for a missing piece or cannot see the full picture. That is where my passion to come alongside you belongs. I enjoy looking at the pieces together with you, putting them into perspective, curiously looking for a missing piece, and finding the spot that “fits best” and feels right. My strategy is to collaborate with you because “you know you best.” I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas, Arlington, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively. My approach My top modalities are EMDR and IFS. My process is to take time to get to know you. I will provide you with emotional support and techniques to stabilize yourself when your parts, thoughts, or feelings become unmanageable and you may feel out of control. My goal is to come alongside you so you can paint the picture of the life you long to live. My focus The needs of the clients I typically work with involve unresolved trauma. I prefer to work with clients who have PTSD. My communication style My communication style is open and collaborative. You know you best. I have the tools, and I believe you have some understanding of the issues you seek to resolve. Together, we will figure it out, and by utilizing EMDR and IFS, you will begin to feel whole and come to a resolution.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) clinician which is a treatment that heals the distress associated with traumatic memories and emotions from adverse life experiences. I also use Internal Family Systems (IFS) which is the idea that every part of you has good intention, and every part has value It emphasizes the natural multiplicity of the mind. The grounding assumption is that there are no bad parts, only parts forced into bad roles. When a client learns how to access Self, they can then heal their wounded parts adults, youth and families to find and fill in the missing pieces of their lives. There is no greater joy to me, than when a person begins putting pieces together, connecting the dots, and has that “ah-ha”
