What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy style is relational, supportive, humorous, and directive. I will work to earn your trust and create a safe space for you to feel seen, heard, and understood. I will listen non-judgmentally, support you, give you tools and feedback, and push you toward your goals and the life you want. You can expect to be challenged, but you can also expect to laugh! Therapy should be enjoyable, and I hope you look forward to sessions even when we talk about the hard stuff.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session together, we will review your paperwork, personal and medical history, and the reason you are seeking services. We will also collaborate to identify your goals for therapy. Follow up sessions will focus on working toward your goals and helping you achieve the life you want to live. My approach to therapy is integrative and holistic, combining Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic-Based therapies. A top priority for me is to meet you where you are and calibrate treatment and my approach to what will work best for us as we work together to meet your goals. I view mental health and overall wellness from a whole-person lens, so we will look at where you are now and where you want to be from a physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual perspective. It's all connected!
