Alyson R. Boyer, Ed.S/LPCC-MHSP, NCC is a resident of Stewart County since 1998. Attended Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, TN graduated with an AAS in Human Services Specialist Degree. Attended UT at Chattanooga and relocated to Stewart County. Graduated from Austin Peay State University with a BS in Psychology with a Minor in Women’s Studies and began working at Centerstone as an Adult Case Manager. Graduated from Murray State University with an Ed.S in Community Counseling. Professionals skills are in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance abuse. Interest is in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy/Animal Assisted Psychotherapy with trauma in children and adults. I bring with me an accumulation of 16-plus years of experience both in Mental Health and Substance abuse. Also has years of experience working with the Military Family Life Counselor Program, presenting the benefits of the program through their on-demand program. Mrs. Boyer has worked in various settings such as Community Mental Health Centers, Behavioral Hospitals, Schools, and Private Practice. Mrs. Boyer has been married for 39 years and has three adult children and three grandchildren.
