Alyson Murray, LMHC

Alyson Murray, LMHC

Psychotherapist
MA
I specialize in working with individuals with a history of any kind of trauma, severe anxiety, and/or grief. My approach is especially helpful for clients seeking somatic-based processing to address symptoms such as emotional flooding, panic attacks, emotional numbness, chronic tension, and feeling stuck in survival mode. My goal is not only to help you understand why you feel the way you do, but to equip you with realistic strategies that help you process emotions, build safety within your body, and experience lasting relief. My approach is more than talk therapy. I help you build an understanding of the nervous system's response to emotional pain and make connections to experiences that you've had. Together we process those difficult experiences in a safe, regulated way, helping your mind and body feel less stuck in survival mode so you can heal and sustainably move forward. You don't have to have it all figured out before reaching out. Having goals in mind is helpful, but it is not required for us to get started. I meet clients wherever they are at even if it means starting with "I feel terrible and I need help". I am here for you when you are ready.
