“Alyssa has been such a kind and refreshing presence ever since I began working with her about a month ago. I have not historically had great experiences in therapy, but Alyssa has provided me with so much clarity and allowed me to reflect on things in a way I never have. I appreciate my sessions with Alyssa so much and feel significantly better week after week.”

Getting to know Alyssa Broshar

Hello, my name is Alyssa. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Adler University and a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University. I believe it is important to meet clients where they currently are to develop a strong therapeutic relationship. I strive to provide a warm and nurturing environment. I also believe in using evidence-based approaches while offering appropriate psychoeducation so clients understand why they are learning these tools. You deserve to feel accepted where you are right now. I believe in setting small, realistic goals to build self-confidence and help you feel more in control. Taking the first step to improve your overall functioning takes courage. I am here to support and empower you on your journey to healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I feel it is important to set short and long-term goals, while also focusing on the here and now. I tend to ask clients what they feel they need for their session, whether it be solution-focused or focusing on processing current emotions. I believe both of these techniques can be helpful to the client, depending on where they are at in their healing journey. I believe the client is the expert of themselves, and honor that throughout sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
