Alyssa Goff, LMHC

Alyssa Goff, LMHC

Psychotherapist
82 Holliston St, Medway, MA
I specialize in working with children and teens, as well as women who have experienced anxiety and mood disorders related to pregnancy, childbirth, and coping with the postpartum experience. I have a unique expertise in treating individuals on the autism spectrum and those with ADHD, OCD, and trichotillomania diagnoses. Many people seek treatment with me because I utilize exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP). When working with children, I use play therapy, expressive arts, and sand tray therapy. With adults, I integrate art, breathwork, mindfulness, and mind-body connection approaches into traditional talk therapy. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My philosophy of practice is a warm, outgoing, and nonjudgmental style that supports a holistic view of healing. My goal when working with clients is to foster a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive space aimed at helping people’s ability to cope with their stressors. I believe that combining expressive arts into traditional talk therapy is the missing key.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work is based on a collaborative approach. You are the expert of yourself (and your child!) You are doing a great job, even if it feels like you aren't. I know finding a therapist can be difficult. If you feel like we would be a good fit.
