What should a new client know about working with you?

Being vulnerable and opening yourself up to change can be intimidating. When beginning therapy, many people don’t know where to start and often feel overwhelmed by everything they want to accomplish. I am here to support you in taking that first step and making change seem more manageable. By using a client-centered and collaborative approach, I help each client identify relevant goals for therapy that align wiith their unique circumstances. I recognize that everyone has different needs and take the time to truly get to know and build rapport with each individual that I work with. My style of therapy is holistic, I prefer to look at the ‘whole-person’ and meet each client where they are at.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that the client-therapist relationship is one of the most important parts of creating change and aim to establish a safe and empowering environment that fosters confidence and allows clients get comfortable with vulnerability. I make it a priority to acknowledge how culture plays a role in mental health and practice from an anti-oppressive framework.”
