Getting to know Alyssa Sullinger

You love God-but your relationships still feel anxious, consuming, and confusing. You overthink texts, feel deeply affected by someone's mood or distance, and find yourself giving more than you receive. You've prayed about it, tried to “have more faith,” and told yourself to just trust God-but the anxiety keeps showing up anyway. If this sounds familiar, you're not broken-and you're not lacking faith. You may be stuck in patterns of anxious attachment and codependency that keep you feeling insecure, even when you desire healthy, God-centered relationships. I specialize in working with Christian women who feel caught in these cycles. In our work together, we don't just talk about your thoughts-we get to the root of why your nervous system feels unsafe in relationships and begin to change those patterns. You'll learn how to: • Feel emotionally secure without constant reassurance • Stop overanalyzing and fearing abandonment • Set healthy, confident boundaries • Break cycles of chasing or losing yourself in relationships • Develop a deeper, more grounded trust in both yourself and God My approach integrates evidence-based therapy with your faith in a way that is both practical and deeply personal. This isn't surface-level advice or “just pray more”-it's real healing work that helps you experience lasting change. I offer private pay sessions for women who are ready to move beyond survival mode in relationships and step into clarity, peace, and emotional stability. If you're ready to feel secure, grounded, and aligned in your relationships, I'd be honored to work with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Each client that comes to therapy is unique in how they like to navigate that first session. More often than not, clients begin by sharing their personal narrative, and I chuckle kindly as they apologize for oversharing or talking too much. I LOVE when clients feel safe and comfortable to get so vulnerable and transparent from the get-go, but it is certainly not the requirement! It is important to me that the first session is spent however makes the client feel most comfortable, seen, validated, and excited to kick off a fantastic journey toward some of the most important work that could ever be done in one's life! I love to help clients identify their values, goals, and limiting beliefs, so we can create an empowering action plan!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I really enjoy speaking with Alyssa. She always makes me feel heard, and has such a kind and warm approach. She is great at providing additional information to help further my internal growth.
I have already recommended Alyssa to 3 friends. I have been actively looking for a therapist for a year now. As a therapist, I have really high standards for what I want in my care and Alyssa surpasses those.
I greatly appreciate her care and empathy. She makes sharing easy and asks guiding questions to help me find answers and understand my own emotional responses. I greatly appreciate having a therapist who thoughtfully integrates my faith into each session. I would easily recommend her to any Christian who wants to improve their own mental health.
