Getting to know Amanda Adgate

Hi! I'm so glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina, Licensed Professional Counselor in Utah, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I also have completed Level One of Gottman's Couples Therapy and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I obtained my Masters degree from the University of Central Florida, and began my professional career at a non-profit counseling center while I worked towards licensure. I moved to North Carolina and maintained my credentials while raising my young children, and am now able to serve clients again. I'm excited to offer support to clients working on achieving their goals and improving their mental health. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for all, and allow clients to discuss and explore any concerns they may have regarding their mental health, whether it's anxiety, depression, women's issues, or self-care. I am here to support you, and offer a sounding board in which we work through those blocks you have, and strive towards personal development, whatever that looks for you. This is a judgment-free space, where we can talk about anything--this is your time. When I am not seeing clients, I love to spend time with my family, or work on my next novel. Can't wait to meet you!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Amanda is amazing when it comes to everything you would want in a therapist. She is kind, she listens and understands, she remembers things about your life, and I know she truly cares about me.
I think Amanda is a great listener and articulates back to me in a way that makes me see things differently. Amanda has been a game changer in my therapy journey and would not trade her for the world!
