Amanda uses a psychodynamic approach to help clients challenge inner beliefs about shame and self-worth by exploring how early experiences shape current behaviors. Amanda enjoys working with adults and couples navigating communication, connection, and intimacy issues. She's also comfortable discussing finances and welcomes those curious about their financial behaviors, stressors, and patterns. Amanda understands that talking about money and finances can be very uncomfortable for people so she works to create a safe and non-judgemental environment that lets her clients open up. She is also very passionate about helping women who are struggling with perfection, shame, burnout, anxiety, depression, and chronic stress. Amanda earned her Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and spent over ten years working in the engineering/construction field before deciding to pivot and pursue her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. Amanda is also an avid yogi, earning her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2021, and loves to work with clients on the mind-body connection. Outside the office, Amanda enjoys baking, cooking, and planning trips with friends. ‍
