Psychotherapist

I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certification in addiction counseling. My experience spans community mental health, crisis intervention, and higher levels of care, where I have worked with individuals and couples across the lifespan to address a wide range of mental health substance use concerns. Through my clinical experience, I’ve developed a particular interest in helping adults navigate anxiety, ADHD, and relationship challenges. When working with individuals, my approach uses cognitive-behavioral, relational, and attachment-based strategies with somatic techniques to help you connect with yourself on a deeper level. When working with couples, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Attachment based strategies to support couples in improving their communication and connection. I work with people who understand their patterns but struggle to make new choices. People who look like they have it all together but are really struggling. You may have a complicated relationship with yourself, carry a lot of guilt or shame, or find yourself repeating patterns you know you want to break. I work with couples who are tired of reoccurring conflicts, who want to reconnect with each other but don’t know how, and who are navigating stressors that are impacting their relationship. My goal is to create a warm, inviting, and nonjudgmental space where you can say what you actually think and feel, not just what you think you should say. Whether we’re working individually or as a couple, I want you to feel understood and supported while also feeling comfortable enough to be challenged. I’m also a firm believer that therapy can include humor, even when we’re working through difficult things. At the heart of my approach is the therapeutic relationship, which is an essential foundation for exploring difficult emotions, recognizing patterns, building trust, and making changes in how you relate to yourself and others

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your life right now and connect it to past experiences and patterns that may still be influencing you today. I’ll help you challenge the core beliefs that keep you stuck while offering tools to help you make changes outside of our sessions. I also recognize that understanding your patterns doesn’t always make them easier to change. Some patterns require more than cognitive shifts alone, so I incorporate somatic techniques to help you connect with yourself and process deeper emotions. When working with couples, we’ll explore the patterns that show up in your relationship, how each of you experiences and responds to conflict, and what may be getting in the way of feeling understood and connected. Together, we’ll work toward communicating more openly, understanding each other's perspectives, and developing healthier ways of navigating challenges. My goal isn’t just to help you understand your patterns, but to help you experience and respond to your emotions differently, developing new ways of relating to yourself and others.
