Getting to know Amanda Hodges

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like you’ve lost parts of yourself along the way? You’re not broken—you’re human, and you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who helps individuals navigate anxiety, depression, grief, identity loss, and emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted from holding everything together, unsure how to move forward, or disconnected from who they used to be. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. Together, we work to understand unhelpful patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change that fits your real life. I am a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) clinician and integrate skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to help clients feel more grounded, emotionally steady, and confident in their relationships. I am also a Certified Grief-Informed Professional and provide compassionate care for those navigating loss, life transitions, and the complex emotions that come with change. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you feel more balanced, connected, and aligned with the life you want to live. If you’re feeling stuck, emotionally drained, or unsure where to begin, therapy can offer clarity, support, and hope. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don’t have to take it alone. I invite you to reach out so we can explore how therapy can support your healing and growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in treating my clients with respect and that each person is their own individual with the ability to utilize their wise mind and have an innate right to make their own decisions. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs, while utilizing evidenced based strategies primarily from DBT, ACT and CPT.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
